Texas Commissioner of Education Michael Williams was in Lubbock Wednesday, Feb. 19, announcing the statewide rollout of a new student database program that started in the Hub City in 2011.
Lubbock Independent School District was the first to enroll in a pilot program of the Texas Student Data System, also referred to as a student GPS. This school year was the first the program was integrated into all LISD campuses.
TSDS features a database where teachers can look up students’ classes, grades, attendance, parent contact information and more all in one place.
